Cele: Today is the Big Day

It's the sixteenth. It's time for Lamentations of the Heat. I currently have all of the screenshots for the prologue, some outtakes, and all I have left to do is actually write it. Guys, I'm so excited. I really feel good about LoTH.

While I think I could have done a little better on some of the pictures, I can see a definite improvement from my AWS days. As for the story? I think it will be a lot better, and this time I have a back-up plan in case anything happens to my game.

Well guys. It's three in the morning and I don't know what else to say! So, until the chapter is out, here's some pictures of Odd's and my favorite sim, Penelope Aelith and a group shot of the LoTH girls.

Cele: And the Countdown Begins . . . Late?

Technically I should have made this yesterday, but . . . there are twenty four days until school is over and fourteen days until end of course exams (not including weekends and days off). I'm ecstatic for so many reasons!    I'll finally be done with this terrible semester, I won't have to feel so burned out all the time, I'll have so much time to do what I want to do, and most of all . . . I'll finally be able to start Lamentation of the Heart.

It's really hard waiting. All of these ideas are just swirling around in my head, and it's so hard to keep them contained. I want to start writing, but I know I can't. My updates wouldn't be consistent, and I still have a lot of work left to do. I still need to make a few more Sims, create custom lots, and replace modern houses with cottages and whatnot.

Also, speaking of consistency, I'm actually planning to follow a release schedule. I don't want to end up posting a chapter every day like I did with the Winters (its pretty easy to get burned out), but I don't want to update once a week. Perhaps something like Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday releases? Or maybe Saturday, Wednesday, and Friday. Well, whatever I decide to do, at least it won't be as random.

Lastly, I was thinking about whether I should add more pictures this go around. The lengths of the chapters probably won't get any shorter or longer, though. (I don't know whether to think you all will take that as good or bad news . . .)

I'm sure I'll figure most of this out when the time comes. c:

Also, I was considering releasing some of the details on what would have happened in AWS. I would have already released them, but I don't want to write it out if no one is going to read it. Do you feel me? So feedback on that would be much appreciated.

Cele: Character Preview Part Two and Some Other News

So . . . Here's the character preview part two. All names have been added/updated on the first part, but I have decided that I will not be writing bios.

In other news, I have decided on a name for the story and I have made the blog, family tree, and rules I will be following. All of that is up, so if you want to go take a look, head over to Lamentations of the Heart.

Grandma Thorne
(Mistria Thorne)

Penelope Aelith

Vin Mirano
(You know, you would think he was a pure badass, but in truth, he's a cat lover who's afraid of the dark. Yep.)

Jay Mirano

And lastly, for the villain of our story . . . the man who had his back turned in the previous preview.
 Asriel Reziek

. . . He's a fabulous character, if I should say so myself.

So that concludes this preview. I'll probably have one more after this one.

Also, the countdown has begun. In approximately one month, Lamentations of the Heart will start. I'm excited; really excited.

Odd: Ohmigosh, You Guys!

I know it's the time old excuse used frequently by teenagers on the internet- but school has really allowed things to get away from me. > .<

First off, allow me to say that I am formally ending The Astro Legacy. It wasn't really going anywhere for me, and I felt like it was just another cliche story. I just wasn't happy with it- and that's probably why it became such a chore to write it. :/ Sorry if any of you avidly supported it- but I will most likely never return to writing it.

On the other hand, I have another story in the works that I'm pretty excited for! I've been planning it for a few weeks now and while I don't actually plan on writing/releasing it until May I'm pretty psyched for it! I don't want to say to much or give anything away, but it will follow a man pursuing stardom. It'll only be a story- not a legacy- but I do plan on keeping it alive and well as long as possible without some random half-assed ending or a post like this discontinuing it. I plan on following Cele's lead by posting a character preview in the near future! See you soon!

Cele: Character Preview; Part One

So, as I said in my previous post, I'm starting a new story. I downloaded a completely new neighborhood and a bunch of houses for it, but there was only one problem . . . It was an empty neighborhood. Now, I was pretty bittersweet on the matter. Of course I could just dump a bunch of premades in, but the more I thought about it, the more I knew that that wasn't going to work. I wanted this neighborhood to be a clash between fantasy and modern reality, and if I wanted fantasy, I was going to have to make fantasy styled Sims.

Cele: In Other News . . .

I miss you guys. I miss writing. I miss Simming.
Moral of the story: School sucks.

You know what else sucks? My game.
I really wanted to hold off on saying this, but . . . A couple of days ago, last weekend I believe, I attempted to Sim. Now, as much as I wanted to, I didn't play the Winters. Instead, I started a new file and found that my game was crashing every two to ten minutes.

I know from experience that this only ends one way.

A little glimmer of hope surfaced within me. Maybe it didn't affect the Winters, I thought. I was wrong. In fact, it was worse. I remained resilient though. Every solution that I could find, I tried. This was the focus of my weekend until Sunday rolled around. I knew that things weren't going to change unless I did the inevitable.

I put the Winters save in a different folder and then wiped my entire Sims 3 folder. After starting the game back up and getting all the proper files back, I returned the Winters save to the save folder. On a previous game I played, it didn't work. I could get back into the save, but it would still crash. With the Winters save, I couldn't even access the save. I removed CC, looked for solutions, you name it. Nothing worked. After clicking on the start button, the game would freeze up and crash.

I hate to say it, but this is the end of the Winters. There's nothing I can do now.

I'm not going to stop writing though. In my free time, I've been practicing a lot. I feel as though my writing skills have improved, and hopefully my Sim storytelling skills have improved as well. I will be writing a new story based around fairy tales.

I officially get out of school May 16th, but there will be time before that where it's not necessary to go to school (finals and whatnot). Until then, I'll be working on the neighborhood and getting things ready. I will also be planning and plotting the story.

I'm truly sorry everyone. I wanted the Winters to live, but things were out of my control. I hope those of you following the story will continue to follow and support me and my new story. That would mean the world to me. (:
